A common mistake in a spreadsheet, when a cell contains a reference to itself. For example, you might accidentally put the formula A1+A2+A3 into cell A3, in effect asking the spreadsheet to add A3 to A3. The spreadsheet goes around in circles for a while and finally admits it can’t figure out what to do.
