An electronic path (or bus) between a computer’s microprocessor (or brain) and
its devices, such as a monitor or hard drive. The PCI bus is used in Pentium computers and operates at the same speed as the VL-Bus, but can connect more devices. The PCI bus also supports Plug and Play. See also ISA BUS, PLUG AND PLAY, and VL-BUS.
