A reference to a cell in a spreadsheet (e.g., A1). When you copy a formula containing relative references to another cell, the relative references automatically change. This cell contains the formula +A1+A2+A3 If you copy the formula to other cells in the spreadsheet, the relative references in the new formulas automatically change. See also ABSOLUTE REFERENCE.
