A video display standard for color monitors. VGA monitors display 16 colors at a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. This is the minimum standard for computer systems. VGA is not recommended for multimedia applications. See also COLOR DEPTH, RESOLUTION (MONITOR), and SVGA.
